Student Matinées
Opera Idaho invites Treasure Valley educators to bring their students and join us for the dress rehearsal for Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. Unlike the past few years, this performance will be the actual dress rehearsal, not a condensed version of the opera.Â
Madama Butterfly Dress Rehearsal Details:
When: Thursday, February 17, 2011
Where: The Egyptian Theatre
Time: 11:00am
Price: FREE!! (Transportation is not provided, but we do have information on grants from the Target Foundation for which schools can apply.)
Length of show: Act I – appx. 1 hr; Show: appx. 3 hrs
Open to students in grades 7-12
 Please RSVP no later than Jan. 28th, 2011.
Schools are invited to attend the entire rehearsal (appx. 3 hrs long), though we understand that may not be possible. To accomodate those who are not able to attend the entire rehearsal, there will be a break after Act I (the act is appx. 1 hour in length) where the staff will assist in getting buses loaded as needed.
Please note: We ask that each school group bring no more than 1 chaperone per every 10 students.
