Opera is the fastest growing art form in the country. Over the past 15 years, the number of audience members has increased by 43% and we are keeping up with the demand by putting on events to open up opera to a wide range of new people. Young professionals have found a new art form that they enjoy and want to support. Annually, the dollars we can generate from ticket sales do not fully cover the costs associated with opera. The cost of one single opera is close to $150,000. Season after season, our audiences enjoy the thrill of seeing period costuming, beautiful sets and glorious voices. The added expense of the orchestra and the Morrison Center requires extensive donor development and support in order to sustain this beautiful and all encompassing art form in Idaho. Opera Idaho has been producing opera for Treasure Valley audience for over 31 years.
We encourage you to consider support for the opera in the following ways:
- Become a season sponsor and enjoy the recognition in our program, verbal stage recognition and all print materials
- Buy an ad in our program
- Become a Lifeblood Member of Opera Idaho and enjoy the extra events provided
- Consider including Opera Idaho in your will. Ask us for more details
- Support the children’s outreach program that provides the opportunity for children to see, hear and participate in Opera.
Support the three children choruses:
Angelus, Children Chorus and the Select Teen Chorus for children and young adults between the school ages of second grade through high school.

- Sponsor the sets or costumes
- Buy season tickets
