Rochelle Bard & Ken Mattice Recital

Opera Idaho begins its 2009/2010 season on Friday, Sept 11, 7:30 pm, in its new home the Egyptian Theatre with a recital featuring husband and wife Rochelle Bard and Ken Mattice. Soprano Bard starred in Opera Idaho’s 2008 Lucia di Lammermoor, dazzling the audience “with her rich, flexible and fluid voice, which rippled through her bel canto arias, and the depth of emotion and character she brought to Lucia.” Baritone Mattice will be making his first appearance in Idaho and is, like Bard, a former Resident Artist with Opera San Jose. The recital will include songs, arias and duets from opera, operetta, Broadway and the American Songbook.
